Terms of Service

By creating an account, connecting a mailbox, authorizing Gmail access, entering IMAP/SMTP credentials, sending email, or otherwise using MailPlate, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

MailPlate is operated and legally managed by Aahav Labs. The current app domain is https://mailplate.aahavlabs.in.

MailPlate is a unified email workspace that lets users connect supported Gmail and custom IMAP/SMTP mailboxes and manage email through one interface. Features may include mailbox sync, search, reading, replying, forwarding, sending, drafts, labels/folders, archive, trash, spam, star/unstar, read/unread, attachment access, account management, and security/audit controls.

MailPlate is not your email provider. Gmail, Google, your IMAP/SMTP provider, your domain host, and any other connected third-party service remain separate services governed by their own terms, policies, uptime, quotas, and security rules.

MailPlate may be offered as free early access or beta software. Current free access may include limits such as a maximum number of connected accounts, usage limits, queue/sync limits, or feature restrictions. These limits may change as the product evolves.

We may add, remove, suspend, or change features, providers, limits, pricing, availability, or access rules. Where appropriate, we will provide notice through the app, website, email, or updated terms.

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for activity under your MailPlate account.
• You must keep your MailPlate sign-in method, email provider accounts, app passwords, and devices secure.
• You must only connect mailboxes that you own or are authorized to access.
• You must promptly contact us at hi@aahavlabs.in if you believe your MailPlate account or a connected mailbox has been compromised.

By connecting Gmail, you authorize MailPlate to use the Gmail permissions you approve for user-facing email features such as reading, sending, syncing, and applying mailbox actions you choose. By connecting IMAP/SMTP, you authorize MailPlate to use the host, port, username, password or app password, and related settings you provide to access that mailbox.

You are responsible for complying with the rules of Gmail, Google, your IMAP/SMTP provider, your organization, and any mailbox owner or administrator that applies to your account. If a provider revokes access, blocks a connection, rate limits activity, changes APIs, rejects SMTP sending, or disables an app password, MailPlate may stop working for that mailbox.

You retain rights to your email messages, drafts, attachments, contacts inside messages, and mailbox content. You allow MailPlate to process that content only as needed to provide the service, including rendering, caching, searching, syncing, sending, replying, forwarding, downloading attachments, applying labels/folders, and executing mailbox actions that you choose.

Actions such as archive, trash, delete, spam, mark read/unread, star/unstar, send, reply, forward, and draft edits may affect your connected provider mailbox, depending on the provider and the action. You are responsible for reviewing actions before using them, especially destructive actions such as delete, trash, spam, or account disconnect.

You agree not to use MailPlate to:

• Send spam, phishing, malware, deceptive, unlawful, harassing, abusive, or harmful content.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, organization, or authorization.
• Connect or attempt to access mailboxes that you do not own or are not authorized to use.
• Bypass provider restrictions, abuse Gmail or IMAP/SMTP rate limits, or interfere with provider systems.
• Attempt unauthorized access to MailPlate, connected mailboxes, third-party systems, infrastructure, logs, tokens, or credentials.
• Probe, scan, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt MailPlate or its service providers except where expressly authorized in writing.
• Use MailPlate in a way that violates applicable law, these terms, our Privacy Policy, Google's terms, your provider's terms, or your organization's policies.

MailPlate uses security controls such as encrypted credential storage, scoped provider access, server-side validation, rate limits, same-origin protections, and audit/security logging. These controls reduce risk, but no email client, internet service, mailbox provider, or software system can be guaranteed fully secure or error-free.

You should maintain independent backups and provider-side recovery options for important email, attachments, credentials, and business records. MailPlate should not be your only record of important mailbox data.

Our Privacy Policy explains how MailPlate handles account information, Gmail API data, IMAP/SMTP credentials, cached mailbox data, email content, attachments, logs, exports, and deletion. By using MailPlate, you also agree to the data practices described there.

MailPlate depends on third-party services such as Google APIs, Gmail, IMAP/SMTP providers, Supabase, Vercel, email transport, security tooling, logging, analytics, and infrastructure providers. We do not control those third-party services and are not responsible for their outages, policy changes, quotas, API changes, account suspensions, data handling, or security incidents.

You may stop using MailPlate, disconnect a mailbox, or request account deletion by contacting hi@aahavlabs.in. Disconnecting a mailbox removes that connection from MailPlate but does not delete the mailbox at Gmail or your IMAP provider.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account violates these terms, creates security or legal risk, harms MailPlate or third parties, abuses providers, threatens infrastructure, or is required by law or provider policy.

MailPlate, its product experience, brand presentation, codebase, website, service design, documentation, and related legal rights are owned or managed by Aahav Labs, except for third-party materials and open-source components used under their respective licenses.

If you send feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or ideas, you allow Aahav Labs to use them to improve MailPlate without obligation to compensate you, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

MailPlate is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free sync, perfect search results, complete provider compatibility, successful delivery of every email, recovery of deleted messages, or permanent availability of any feature.

Email delivery, sync behavior, message state, search results, attachment access, OAuth access, SMTP sending, and IMAP folder behavior may depend on third-party providers and their settings. You remain responsible for confirming important sends, replies, deletions, compliance obligations, and provider-side mailbox state.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aahav Labs, MailPlate, and their owners, team members, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, loss of email, business interruption, provider outages, unauthorized mailbox access caused by your own credential compromise, or inability to use the service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless Aahav Labs and MailPlate from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from your misuse of the service, unauthorized mailbox access, violation of these terms, violation of provider terms, unlawful email activity, or infringement of another person's rights.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with competent courts in Surat, Gujarat, India, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact hi@aahavlabs.in so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

We may update these terms as MailPlate evolves, including when we change features, providers, pricing, limits, security controls, or legal requirements. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date above.
